Help : DELIVERY SERVICES : How to charge for the delivery service fee (full version)

  • Once:
  • The total postage charge is applied once per delivery service.
  • Example: The purchase of three horses, four donkeys and two tractors needs two different delivery services. The horses and donkeys can travel together. Whether it is one horse or donkey or several, the total postage charge is 500.- CHF. Also, whether it is one tractor or several, the total postage charge is 350.- CHF. The final postage charge is the sum of the two that is 850.- CHF.
  • Note: The below How to charge for the delivery service fee options are best used in a shop which is configured with Multi-delivery services per sale in the [TOOLS] -> [Checkout Behaviour] page and/or with Postage charges by delivery distance in the [TOOLS] -> [Postage] page.
  • One item of the to be shipped product:
  • The postage charge is applied once for each different product, no matter how many times each product is bought.
  • Example: As above, but with the difference, that the horses need the delivery service once, the donkeys need the delivery service once, and the tractors need the delivery service once. The final postage charge is the sum of the three postage charges that is 500.- plus 500.- plus 350.- which is 1'350.- CHF.
  • As many times as the to be shipped product is bought:
  • As different products may be shipped by the delivery service, the postage charge is multiplied by the number of all selected products.
  • Example: As above, but with the difference, that the horses need the delivery service 3 times, the donkeys need the delivery service 4 times, and the tractors need the delivery service twice. The final postage charge is 3 times 500.- plus 4 times 500.- plus twice 350.- which is 4'200.- CHF.
  • As many times as the customer must pay for the most expensive delivery services of the purchase:
  • You need first to specify in the Restrictions' paragraph, at the bottom of the page, how many times the customer must pay the most expensive delivery services.
  • Example: The purchase of three horses, four donkeys and two tractors needs two different delivery services. The postage charge for a horse, or a donkey, is 500.- CHF. The postage charge for a tractor is 350.- CHF. If both delivery services are configured with this option and the customer must pay the most expensive delivery services 4 times, the final postage charge would be four times 500.- that is 2'000.- CHF.
  • As the above option, and free if at least one product is delivered by the third option:
  • Example: The purchase of a horse, and a horse trailer needs two different delivery services. The postage charge for a horse is 500.- CHF, and the postage charge for a horse trailer is 450.- CHF. If the delivery service for a horse is configured with this option and the delivery service of a horse trailer is specified with as many times as the to be shipped product is bought, which is the third option, the final postage charge would be 450.- CHF.
