The selector in the BackOffice allows 3 possibilities to set up and maintain your Privacy Policy:
No
means
Shop does not have a Privacy Policy
Yes
means
Shop has a Privacy Policy which is specified in your online shop
External link
means
Shop has a Privacy Policy which is specified on another web site for example in a PDF file
If activated, YourShop shows a Privacy Policy link in the footer of all pages; the client cannot checkout without having confirmed that the Privacy Policy has been read and accepted.
To create your own Privacy Policy, we propose you our data protection declaration template, which looks like this https://yourshop.net/b26l1.html
Replace the yellow text with your details. Delete what is pink if this does not apply to you.
To take off the yellow colour, please delete [span class="yellow"] at the beginning of the text and [/span] at the end of it. To take off the pink text, delete everything from [span class="pink"]... to ...[/span] inclusively.
If you do or intend to do further changes with the customer data than is already described in the template, please extend the template. Complete the Privacy Policy in any language supported by your shop.
Contents of the Privacy Policy, Legal notice (Impressum), Contact details and the Terms and Conditions are your responsibility. If you need professional legal assistance for the preparation, amendment or revision of your documents, we can recommend Mr S. Hofer, Solicitor at GHR Rechtsanwälte AG https://www.ghr.ch/en/People/284/98/
