If you have amongst your products, some that have different weights or sizes, and cannot be delivered by your default delivery service, you will need to activate product to be delivered by specific delivery service(s).
Example:
You sell flowers and trees. Flowers do not weigh very much, and can, for example be delivered by Swiss Post. Trees are heavier and require transport by lorry.
Solution:
Create two delivery services. Swiss Post and Lorry Delivery Service. Attach the trees to the Lorry Delivery Service. Delivery restrictions on the flowers is not required. The client can have them delivered by lorry too, if they wish, and also pay the additional charge for them.
If the option Delivery Services is set to restricted to postcode areas and the customer buys a product which does not need to be sent by a special delivery service, then the choices Yes, Exc & Inc behave in the following way:
Yes : All delivery services are available.
Exc : Only the unrestricted delivery services are available.
Inc : Restricted delivery services are also available if the postcode is within a postcode area.
Please check your delivery service restrictions do not invalidate any of your customer's orders.
